I prefer the term "Geek"

When dishing out self describing insults I prefer the term "Geek" to "Nerd", and as Ask Yahoo points out I have good reason for my preference. I am after all a computer programmer.

But dose the fact that I would in the IT industry automatic give me a get out of jail free card from the "Nerd" critics? Perhaps not, I do after all take pride in my knowledge, and I am more proud of the fact I graduate summa cum laude then the fact I graduated with a degree in CS... Why because I'm a geek.

So when a friend challenged me to test my "Nerd" level I rose to the occasion. The results were quite high 83 out of 100, but perhaps the biggest proof that I'm a nerd is that I'm posting a blog to brag about being a "nerd"

I am nerdier than 83% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!
